It certainly won't feel like summer this Saturday...we hope you can come out with us and enjoy the fantastic (cooler) weather! Our agricultural vendors continue to have those wonderful summer crops, as we also look forward to their fall specialties. Right now they are preparing for our Tomato Fiesta which will take place on August 25th. More about that next week...
To compliment our other bakers, Jennifer from Red Carpet Cakes joined us last week for the first time, and brought her out-of-this-world muffins and other sticky treats. She is a great addition to our farm market family.
Windy Farm Alpacas will be back with us on Saturday with their hand-woven, hand-crafted products. It's always exciting to see their one of a kind items. Busy Bee and Green Cow will be with us again, selling their delicious varieties of honey and hand-made soaps.
For a quick, delicious lunch or if you are planning ahead for dinner, remember to stop by Jimmie's BBQ for their ready-to-eat specialties or Griggstown for their pot pies or marinated chicken, to be enjoyed later at home. Each Saturday, Nick and Nick use local produce to create a taste bud masterpiece for your sampling. Remember to grab their recipe secrets before leaving.
The Burlington County Library will be at the market for the first time on Saturday, sharing their many variety of books and special events that they have planned for the end of summer and into the fall.
So make Saturday your grocery day and eat fresh and in-season from the Burlington County Farmers Market. Don't forget to tell your neighbors, friend and co-workers about the market!
